Story:

Venom: The Last Dance is the third and final Venom film. This film marks the end of the Venom films it continues the story of Eddie Brock and his alien buddy Venom who share the same body. This time, they are running from a military leader named Rex Strickland, and Knull the creator of a alien symbiotes like Venom. Knull sends alien creatures called Xenophages to get them. Eddie, Venom moves from San Francisco into New York City in an effort to find a hideaway. While this might sound exciting, the story becomes confusing, and the pace slows down compared to the earlier movies.

Performance:

Tom Hardy is great as Eddie Brock. He shows how Eddie struggles to live with Venom inside his body, but also how they become good friends. Hardy’s performance is strong and fun to watch. However, other characters, like Knull (the villain) and Rex Strickland, are not given enough time to shine. It seems as though they are so small in comparison to real fear and importance. Even when those actors try their best for it, the characters end up a little flat on top.

Technical Aspects:

The movie has had nice CGI work, especially of Xenophages in fight. The visual effects given the alien creatures make it all the more realistic to create fear. There were several chase scenes that kept all that momentum moving. It’s confusing how the movie has tried to be serious. Sometimes it just goes on to be a joke, and you wonder what it all fits into. The music and sound effects are all good but not noteworthy much.

Analysis:

However, the change in the tone of the movie is the biggest problem for Venom: The Last Dance. They were able to balance action and humor very well in the earlier movies. However, this one feels too serious. There are a few funny moments, like a dance scene with Mrs. Chen, but these scenes don’t happen often. Other parts of the movie feel like they belong somewhere else, Such things make the film not fun to watch and sometimes very slow. The movie will not likely appease fans of the earlier two because it does lack all the chaos and excitement energy that made the initial ones interesting.

Positives:

Impressive CGI

Strong Tom Hardy performance

Fun moments with Eddie and Venom

Negatives:

Confusing plot

Inconsistent tone

Weak villains

Verdict:

Venom: The Last Dance is an Okay film but it could have been better. There are a few exciting moments and strong visuals, but the story is confusing and the tone is inconsistent. Tom Hardy does an amazing job, but even his performance cannot save this movie from its flaws. If you are a big Venom fan, you will like some parts of it, but it is not going to be fun or thrilling like the previous films.
