Story
Devadas (Lokesh Kanagaraj) and his gang steals weapons from the police, As the police begin hunting them down, the gang brutally murders a police officer, making the manhunt even more intense.

Performance
For his first outing as a lead actor, Lokesh Kanagaraj does a decent job. The role doesn’t demand a wide range of emotions, and he fits the rugged gangster character quite well.
Wamiqa Gabbi leaves a strong impression despite her limited screen time and delivers an excellent performance. The supporting cast also performs well and fits naturally into the film’s raw setup.
Analysis
DC wastes no time and jumps straight into the story. Right from the opening scenes, the film moves at a brisk pace with several incidents unfolding one after another. Despite covering a lot of ground in the first half, director Arun Matheswaran keeps the narration clear and easy to follow.
The biggest highlight of the film is undoubtedly the pre interval and interval block. Combined with Anirudh Ravichander’s thunderous background score, these scenes create genuine goosebumps moments and are sure to bring the house down in theatres.
The second half slows down a little compared to the first. There are a few stretches where the film drags, but it never completely loses its grip. The narration remains engaging enough to keep the audience invested until the climax.
The climax is satisfying and brings the story to a proper conclusion without trying to overcomplicate things. It may not be extraordinary, but it works well for the film.
The only drawback is that the raw and rustic treatment may not appeal to everyone. A few portions in the second half could have been trimmed to make the film even tighter.
Technically, the film is top class. Anirudh Ravichander is the biggest asset, delivering a terrific background score that elevates almost every important scene. The cinematography perfectly captures the film’s gritty atmosphere, while the crisp editing and solid production values further enhance the overall experience.
