West Indies Defeat Pakistan by 120 Runs to Draw the Series

In January 2025, the West Indies cricket team came to Pakistan to play a two-match Test series. After a long gap of 18 years, the West Indies finally played a Test series in Pakistan. The series was exciting and ended in a way that no one expected. The West Indies managed to level the series 1-1, showing great fight and spirit.

In the first Test, Pakistan took control of the game early. Their bowlers, especially Noman Ali, were too strong for the West Indies, and Pakistan won the first Test match easily. The West Indies looked out of sorts, and it seemed like the series might be over quickly.

But the West Indies made a strong comeback in the second Test. They didn’t let the loss of the first match affect them and came back with a much better performance. Their bowlers, especially Jomel Warrican, were brilliant. Warrican took a total of 9 wickets in the second Test match, playing a key role in their victory. In the second innings, he took a five-wicket haul, which helped the West Indies bowl out Pakistan and take control of the match.

The West Indies batsmen also contributed. Gudakesh Motie played a crucial role with the bat, scoring 92 runs. His performance was important as it gave the West Indies a solid foundation. Pakistan could not break through their resistance, and the West Indies built a decent lead.

Pakistan, on the other hand, had a good series but could not finish strong. Mohammad Rizwan was their top scorer with 147 runs, but it was not enough in the end. Their bowlers, led by Noman Ali, took 16 wickets across the two matches, but the West Indies had the last laugh.

In the second Test, the West Indies posted a total of 244 runs in their second innings, setting Pakistan a target of 254 runs to win. Pakistan’s chase was cut short as they were bowled out for 133 runs, with Jomel Warrican taking 5 wickets for just 27 runs, sealing a 120-run victory for the West Indies.
