After the success of F2 and F3, Anil Ravipudi collaborates for the third time with Venkatesh, bringing us a movie packed with superhit songs and an exciting trailer. The film was marketed as the perfect Sankranthi release. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s find out.
Story
Akella (Avasarala Srinivas), a successful CEO of a major software company in the USA, visits Hyderabad. The Chief Minister Keshav (Naresh) and Party President (VTV Ganesh) meet him as a courtesy. Despite the CM’s disapproval, the Party President takes Akella to a farmhouse for a feast. However, Akella gets kidnapped by a gangster attempting to free his brother from jail.
To rescue Akella, IPS officer Meenakshi(Meenakshi Chaudhary) asks her ex-boyfriend, Yadagiri Damodar Raju (Venkatesh), a retired IPS officer, for help. Raju’s wife, Bhagyam (Aishwarya Rajesh), also joins them. The story is about how they try to save Akella and whether they succeed or not. To know the full story, watch it on the big screen!
Performance
Venkatesh perfectly fits the role of a retired police officer who has given up his duties. he shines in this movie as a former officer. Aishwarya Rajesh gets a solid role and delivers a strong performance, competing with Venkatesh in every scene. Meenakshi Chaudhary also gives tough competition to Aishwarya with her acting.
Other notable roles include Venkatesh’s son, played by a child actor, and VTV Ganesh, who, along with Upendra Limaye, provides plenty of laughs. Avasarala Srinivas, Sai Kumar, Pammi Sai, and Muraleedhar Goud perform well within the scope of their characters.
On the technical side, the biggest strength of the film is its music. Both the songs and background score by Bheems elevate the film’s impact and connect well with the audience, making it another hit in his career.
Director Anil Ravipudi succeeds in delivering good comedy, but the story falls flat due to its predictable nature. Some comedy scenes feel like extended Jabardast skits, but they still manage to entertain and keep the audience laughing throughout.
Analysis
The movie begins with an interesting VIP kidnapping case that immediately grabs attention. The story then shifts to a village, where Venkatesh’s introduction and his family’s scenes are well-executed. The “Godavari Gattu” song lives up to the hype on screen, presenting beautiful visuals. The following “Bulli Raju” episode is hilarious and keeps the audience entertained.
Once Meenakshi arrives to request Raju to join the mission, and Bhagyam insists on joining as well, the scenes are funny and enjoyable. However, the second half becomes flat despite a few comedy scenes here and there that manage to engage the audience. Unfortunately, it fails to maintain the energy of the first half.
The biggest problem with the movie is its predictable story. The trailer already shows most of the plot, so there are no surprises or new twists for the audience. While the movie has some entertaining moments, it doesn’t feel fresh or exciting enough to leave a strong impression.
Verdict
Despite its predictable story, the movie never feels boring. It keeps the audience engaged with its comedy, and Venkatesh delivers a phenomenal performance, entertaining throughout. As it was released for Sankranthi, it turns out to be a perfect movie for the festival season, offering fun and laughter for the audience.
