The movie Devara is all set to release on OTT. Netflix has officially announced the streaming date for the film, which has acquired its digital rights. There were many speculations about the streaming date, but now Netflix has confirmed it.
The film Is directed by Koratala Shiva, who is known for weaving strong social themes into his commercial films with emotions. However, in Devara, that magic seems to be missing. The story feels quite simple, and it’s easy to guess what will happen next. The twists are also straightforward, and the love story between NTR and Janhvi Kapoor feels a bit weak. Apart from the action sequences, the film doesn’t showcase Koratala’s usual style.
The movie begins interestingly with the backdrop of 1996. Instead of directly showing the story, it features a police officer named Shiva, who comes to the Ratnagiri area to catch a gangster named Yathi. The way a character named Singappa tells the story of Devara adds some interest.
NTR plays dual roles as Devara and Vara. He has shown good variation and dialogue delivery in these contrasting characters. The action scenes shot with NTR are a treat for his fans. Saif Ali Khan’s villainy matches well against NTR. He has acted in the role of Bhaira so convincingly that it’s hard to imagine anyone else in that part. Janhvi Kapoor’s character has limited songs and scenes. Supporting actors like Prakash Raj,Srikanth and Murali Sharma have done a decent job. The background music by Anirudh was excellent, and the song ‘Chuttamalle’ really stands out.
Devara, starring Jr. NTR, will be available for streaming on Netflix starting this Friday, November 8. Netflix has made an announcement on social media, indicating its release this Friday.
